Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm not saying anything against the movie! (About its quality or chances of being a financial success.) Just that I didn't think Burr's review was that positive.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But it was more positive than negative, and I'm just sticking by my point that most of the reviews so far have been that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am not arguing against your point.

Yes you are.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

This conversation is about to become a Monty Python sketch, isn't it?

I think we're past that point by now.

And, Hayden, IO9 didn't gush or hate on Source Code, Limitless, or Paul, from a cursory glance. Although I think they were positive about all of them.

Hey. New board.

EW thought Thor was kind of funny and kind of pretty. Or something. Metacritic has a 58 (I still prefer that over rottentomatoes, since it lets medium-positive reviews only be medium-positive) which is worse than Fast Five (67)and almost exactly the same as Iron Man II (57).

I will see both Fast Five and Thor.

Metacritic and EW did convince me not to see Something Borrowed (35, D+), though.

You needed help?

Hey. New board.

I enjoyed the book well enough, and like romantic comedies when they're actually good. This one could have been good. It apparently isn't.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Metacritic and EW did convince me not to see Something Borrowed (35, D+), though.
The trailers seemed predictable enough that I feel little need to actually watch the rest of the movie.
