Tried to make a lemon meringue pie from scratch. EPIC FAIL! The "meringue" didn't even vaguely resemble any meringue I've seen. I was also using too shallow a bowl and there's fake meringue everywhere. I put it all together and stuck it in the oven anyway. We'll see.

I just finished editing a book about Kevin Richardson, who works with lions in South Africa. FASCINATING. A couple moments made me a little sniffly, too.

I made shredded pork with a green chile sauce today in the crockpot. It's YUM. Did a rub of salt, garlic, oregano, rosemary (it was a mistake), lime juice, brown sugar. Then I poured Hatch Green chiles in and let it slow cook.
NOM NOM NOM.
