I'm not sure an arc is needed. What about a new season where Sam and Dean hunt a different monster every week? Maybe a few multiple parters where it takes more than one episode to kill a monster. Maybe a few cases where there are shades of grey and they don't kill the monster. No world at stake. Just Sam and Dean and various innocents with their lives on the line.
Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
I wonder if it's the Tablet of Destiny? Mother-of-All was reminiscent of Tiamat...
Maybe it's something that enslaves humanity?
Tablet of Destiny
Hee, so Dean and Sam now rule the universe.
I could really have done without the inclusion of the angels again. I am enjoying The Prophet Kevin though.
Cas is like 2014!Cas without the drugs! I think I like it.
The game of Sorry was priceless. Also, "pull my finger".
Sam worrying about Cas almost killed me. And Dean's heartbreak when he was telling Kevin about the angels was exquisitely painful.
I'm definitely gonna have to rewatch that. Castiel has gone through so many personalities, and here's yet another one. Totally Jossed, what's been up with Cas. It's hard wrapping my head around this new guy. And beyond adjusting to someone who is here and gone, my gut reaction is that there isn't logic in it, in Cas being this.
So, rewatch necessary.
Oh god, when he hung his head after Dean chucked the Sorry game. And oh god again when he questioned Sam saying he'd get him better (there's nothing wrong with me, pardon?)
I don't mind the brief resurgence of the angels, especially since they were dealt with within the ep, not leading to a bigger involvement in the future. But also, so long as Cas is still in the picture, other angels might not be far behind.
So, the maguffin, whatnot. Why would the Leviathans uncover the recipe to their demise? Is there an alternate use of what is found in The Word? Something beneficial to them that it's worth the risk of their undoing? They're already stronger than humans, than angels. Also, why did the angels die with black goo?
I loved Kevin. Oh man, the Mouths have our little word keeper, who reminds me of a geflin so hard.
edited cuz I can't spell.
Oh man, the Mouths have our little word keeper
Are we out of archangels? Since they're supposed to show up whenever the prophets are endangered?
Aren't there only Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, and ... maybe one more? Two of them are dead and one is in Lucifer's cage.
Castiel has gone through so many personalities, and here's yet another one.
Really? He seemed like Castiel to me, just Castiel without his former mission, and with no conflict left. He's enjoying the beauty and mystery of God's creations, and he seems content with that. Like I said, it reminded me of orgy-having Cas, just without the drugs and the cynicism. Or at least it reminded me of the spiel he was feeding the orgy participants.
They called him a prophet at one point, which is confusing, because Chuck was never taken to the desert, he never discovered any writings of Metatron. Maybe there are different kinds of prophets? Or the word was misused?
Kevin was the prophet, not Castiel.
