Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

Supernatural 2: Why is it our job to save everybody?

[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I see all that shit, songs, wincest, meta, as part of the thread culture.

Right. And I can adjust myself to that now that I see that. I see now that where for me fic is a tangetial topic or is more clearly demarcated from show discussion, for others the two are far more intertwined and in fact cannot be neatly separated. Knowing (and now, understanding) that helps me a LOT.

This must be the fandom version of the grown-up's table.

Which is why I love this place.

Because books.

Does that mean we get wine? I approve.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I certainly don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I'm fine with skipping until we get more show. I agree that any kind of tagging is too awkward for normal thread discourse.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Does that mean we get wine?

You mean, we aren't drinking now?

As a mostly lurker (I tend to tivo and not watch for a few days, so by the time I get in here, everything's been said :) )I've just been skimming by the fic discussion, I figured that it was being discussed because there was no show to talk about. I didn't think that it was thread shift, just boredom. My .02, FWIW.

Because books.

Well, it's nice to be all official about it.

Simon Said is on. I miss Andy, and Sam's visions. Sam's psychic freak thing, especially the telekinesis, definitely didn't get enough play.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Dean was very touch-y in Simon Said. It's fun to watch now and realize that JP was stoned on pain meds for the hand surgery when the ep was filmed. He's said he doesn't remember a lot from filming that ep.

Lordy, I miss Andy too. He was fun.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Wow! You people had me worried that something happened with Show. I saw the number of posts and I got a sick feeling that I didn't realized hiatus was over last Friday.

Holy smokes, I'm going to go drink something.

Ack! I am so sorry, Theresa! Alas, we have two and a fraction weeks left of hellatus.

I miss Andy, and Sam's visions. Sam's psychic freak thing, especially the telekinesis, definitely didn't get enough play.

Yes to all of this. I do wish they'd explored a little bit more of the whys and hows of the psychic freak thing. Did it go away when he got his demon-expulsion powers? Or was that a natural evolution?

I'm still miffed that Andy is gone. Ditto Ava. With Andy, one thing that strikes me is that all of the Special Children we saw (not counting Lily or the one Gordon killed - we hardly got to see what they were like), Andy was the only one who did not seem to have or develop a pattern of acting violently.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lily didn't act violently. She was passively lethal, and burnt up about it. Did we ever see her act aggressively?

We didn't, but then again, she was onscreen for so little there was hardly anything to judge by. Anson and Max were already trouble when we met them. Ava changed dramatically, and I also thought Jake started out as seeming like a nice enough guy. And Sam, well... maybe I'll just have to re-examine the evidence. Again. And then again, just to make sure.
