Wow! You people had me worried that something happened with Show. I saw the number of posts and I got a sick feeling that I didn't realized hiatus was over last Friday.
Holy smokes, I'm going to go drink something.

Ack! I am so sorry, Theresa! Alas, we have two and a fraction weeks left of hellatus.
I miss Andy, and Sam's visions. Sam's psychic freak thing, especially the telekinesis, definitely didn't get enough play.
Yes to all of this. I do wish they'd explored a little bit more of the whys and hows of the psychic freak thing. Did it go away when he got his demon-expulsion powers? Or was that a natural evolution?
I'm still miffed that Andy is gone. Ditto Ava. With Andy, one thing that strikes me is that all of the Special Children we saw (not counting Lily or the one Gordon killed - we hardly got to see what they were like), Andy was the only one who did not seem to have or develop a pattern of acting violently.
Lily didn't act violently. She was passively lethal, and burnt up about it. Did we ever see her act aggressively?
We didn't, but then again, she was onscreen for so little there was hardly anything to judge by. Anson and Max were already trouble when we met them. Ava changed dramatically, and I also thought Jake started out as seeming like a nice enough guy. And Sam, well... maybe I'll just have to re-examine the evidence. Again. And then again, just to make sure.
I liked Jake from the beginning. It was only when he turned on Sam I changed my mind. Also?
(((Anne))) Those are not commisery hugs, they're hugs of gratitude for the "Anson".

The good news is that it's only two and a half fraction weeks and not months. I caught Faith when it re-aired. Oh sweet Jesus the hurt in that episode. Then the guilt from Dean at the end toward Layla. Julie Benz rocked like she was the only one who could have ever played that part.
Good Show.

It went to wherever his telekinesis went.
I assumed those powers went when the YED died.
Like the vampire/werewolf lore about killing the sire as a cure?
Even without his visions or telekinesis, I like that they've emphasized Sam's not!normalness all through. First it was the visions, then the brief telekinesis with the visions, then it was learning what the demon wanted from him/did to him, then developing the demon-banishing power with the added blood drinking, and then no soul.
When all he wanted as a kid was "normal," too. SAMMY
I thought what the YED wanted from him personally was tied into the TK and the visions, so no YED, none of those powers. However, the blood taint, the long game, led to the banishing.
Basically, the long and short game don't really hold up all that well.
