Zoe: Uh huh. River, honey? He's putting the hair away now. River: It'll still be there... waiting.

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Or, as in the Fringe example, a threat.

No, that's true. But there's often such a tone of satisfaction about it that, ugh. Once you start noticing and thinking about it it really jumps out. (I didn't see this episode so I don't know if this is the case here, but generally speaking.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was the WTFiest episode of BSG of all time.

Art Crawl!!!

I think that the recipient of the threat's lack of reaction and Anna Torv's lack of affect may have prevented any smugness in intent from coming across - if that was supposed to be there.

It read as a threat and I didn't get more than that from Olivia. (And as I said, the guy - really didn't react.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

DW thinks the 7 is Baltar because they mentioned something about Daniel (the 7) appearing in people's heads. I enjoyed getting the info and it seemed to make sense, but that wasn't quite the way I wanted to get it, you know? An Ellen/Cavill, Anders/other final 5 brain dump. Also, I really can't stand Ellen and am kind of annoyed that she is playing such an important role. Hell, I'm annoyed to see her again, period!

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

And as I said, the guy - really didn't react.

Yes he did. His face totally crumpled. Then he recovered and got back his poker face. But absolute terror showed through for a moment.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Okay, I've rewatched BSG. I think making 7 Kara's father is a bit of a cheat, because there's no indication he ever made it to the colonies, is there?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I think you're onto something, ita. Unless John Cavil contaminated Daniel's amniotic fluid after he died on Caprica, and not after he died on Earth, which doesn't make sense since Ellen at that point, forgetful of who she really was, wasn't playing favorites with 7. I didn't see much of a reaction from Starbuck over the name either.

I'm so confused, though, Ellen isn't being counted as one of the final five anymore? She's the 0/creator that's been speculated about? That's... even more disappointing than her been a final fiver. Except, she still is a final five, isn't she? And where exactly did that come from? The humlons she and the other Five created? So they got their history wrong? Cavil erased not just the memory of Daniel from the humlons, everything and anything reminiscent of his existence?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If Ellen is to be believed she's no more special than the other FFers. She made the final intuitive leap to enable the creation of the 8 skinjobs, but they all contributed.

Oh, and I still hate Tory.

Prezactly. So somewhere along the way the history got messed up or deliberately smeared. Because it's Six, not five.

Because it's Six, not five.

Skinjobs: Cavil, Leoben, D'Anna, Simon, Aaron, Six, Daniel, Sharon
Final Five: Tory, Anders, Tyrol, Tigh, Ellen

It adds up right.
