I don't think we're seeing any time travel or alternate dimensions.
Starbuck reported having seen a beautiful green and blue Earth. I vote wormhole time travel because it provides the easiest answer to "who rebuilt her and sent her home?" It's just Occam's Razor.
Thus, I don't like the "wormhole" idea floated above for Starbuck. These are things that have never been part of this reality. It would be awkward adding them now.
So what do you think happened to her?
Incidentally, I don't think you get FTL space travel without wormholes of some kind, so I disagree that they're a new addition to this universe. A new vocabulary word maybe.

Okay, so the living Starbuck is lab-grown with very specifically designed and implanted memories that include all of dead!Starbuck's minus dying in a fiery explosion.

Oh, no. I believe that that's Starbuck's real body. But -- and I suppose this is the central thesis of the show, really -- if the body Starbuck is in is mostly human, looks just like her and has all of her memories (minus some tampering to get her to lead people back to Earth, which seems significant) then who's to say it ISN'T really her?
Starbuck is put in the same position as we are having to figure out what has happened to her. With added extra angst. Personally, I could use a few clones, but she likely won't feel the same way.
There were so many things to love about the episode. Laura broke my heart with her devastation. The raw emotion between Tigh and Adama. Can't wait to see the happy Tigh couple reunion.
I'm very excited about this last run. Dee's end caused me to jump and gasp in a marvelous way. Keep it coming.

I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying someone had to rebuild her after the original Starbuck crash-landed, and I can't think of a simpler explanation that doesn't involve some kind of time travel.
Hidden cylon enclave? Or is it cheating to have more?
We STILL haven't met the Cylon God, whom I'm convinced is an actual being (or at least ginormous computer being).
