Nick was zombiefied? Okay, I'm putting Grimm back on the watch list. Is Nick's girlfriend still around?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon
A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Zen, and she has Bechdel-worthy interactions with Rosalee!
I'm very behind on Grimm, but I do plan on catching up at some point.
Generally what the hell is up with the royals? What does that mean? Do they have super powers or are they just in charge, because royal? I was mildly disappointed that the royals also seem to be royalty in the human world.
I believe that the old royal families of Europe were aware of both Wesen and Grimm, use(d) the Wesen to do their dirty work for them, and then use(d) the Grimm to control the Wesen. I wonder how much the Grimm of old knew they were being used in that way. They may well have believed that they were simply doing what came naturally - i.e. kill Wesen - and boy howdy isn't it nice to have support, resources and official encouragement to do something they were going to do anyway. When Wesen and Grimm get to the New World, the keep killing each other out of habit but being outside of royal control then you get opportunities for Grimm like Nick's mom to connect with the Resistence because America! and Democracy! And others like Nick to decide they don't want to simply kill Wesen for breathing through the wrong kind of nostrils.

And, interestingly, a fat pack of Brazillian reals.
Continuum came back this week. Did anyone watch?
I did, sj. That's an interesting way to deal with changing the timeline. I'm very interested to find out what happens next!
I've always had the impression that the "royals" were a specific type of Wesen that we haven't seen the true form of.

I just finished the episode, and I'm so confused. Also, I completely understand the idea that Kiera wants the future to be the same because of her husband and son, but I'm continually annoyed that despite all she has learned and seen over the past seasons, that she still thinks it is a good future for mankind.
Does she? I kinda feel like she's just not thinking about that.
It's gotten really confusing, but I'm just assuming that all the stuff I'm not sure about will either become clearer or not matter.

I guess it can be seen as just not thinking about it, but I want to see her be forced to think about it. Especially when she is faced with decisions like getting rid of the "wrong" Alec.
