Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

'The Message'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

The minute they want to disassociate from him and he glamours them and they stay and kiss him and do anything else, he's sexually assaulted them at the very least, no?

Absolutely.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Yes. They are no longer able to consent.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They wanted him! It wasn't rape! I have issues with the show! I'm also possibly a humourless shrew! I'm actually stunned no one else in the discussion agrees with me.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

I wish I was surprised.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

i'm going to play Devil's advocate here and say that while we've been told he does this, we've never actually seen it onscreen. at least to my recollection. he definitely uses them for blood and in Andie's case, blood and sex, but she's not exactly unwilling. Caroline was into him before any glamouring went on. he only really ever glamoured her to forget he was a vampire and that he was feeding on her. still deplorable, but not rape.

She was going to leave him when she found out he was a vampire. He glossed over that for her, and she stayed and slept with him under false, compelled circumstances. What do you call it?

eh...i see what you're saying. by that same token, we should call Willow a rapist because she made Tara forget that they had broken up and then had sex with her.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

tiggy, many people said just that when S6 aired.
