'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I think it should be Olivia's niece should be the one to immediately realize that is not her aunt.

all the childhood torture

And all the adult torture she's about to go through--I suspect there's going to be blast that takes out that wall early next season. 'Cause Walternate doesn't know what she's capable of when pushed.

Peter pretty much summed up the differences between them when he told Other Olivia what drives Our Olivia. And he saw her bafflement and said, "I guess she's nothing like you."

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

I think it should be Olivia's niece should be the one to immediately realize that is not her aunt.

Actually, this ocurred to me. And the necklace thing is going to tweak all over the place.

Pacey had some good, understated reaction shots last night. This one, yes, and his reaction to Charlie. Well played.

Since the niece has already met and kind of likes Walter, she could go to Walter when no one else believes Aunt Liv is odd, and then they can try to get people to take the kid and the crazy guy seriously.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Actually, this ocurred to me. And the necklace thing is going to tweak all over the place.

Ooh, what's going to happen when she meets her dead sister? That could be poignant and stuff!

Also, somebody better know Olivia's stance on coffee ice cream. I'm just saying.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hey, she's not Evil Olivia. She's just doing her job, against the guy that had wrought havoc on her universe. Walternate is a bastard, but that's about it.

And I guess stuff happened in FlashForward, but I'm finding it hard to care, sadly. And how exactly did Joseph Fiennes become such a horrible actor?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

That was a terrifically funny Chekhov's Gun!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Sure, it may be that altOlivia is not evil. In fact it might be useful for her to realize this side is not evil and actually pitch in on the solution.

it may be that altOlivia is not evil

It may be? What evil thing or motivation have we seen from her so far?

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Can we call her Altlivia? I wonder if they'll pick up immediately or at the end of the summer. If the summer, then they'd have to play that she passed for that time, and it would either have to be something that was building, or something exceedingly unusual that pings it, otherwise why not immediately. However, giving the summer does give time for Olivia to get her crack-opining mojo going.

And, oh, the awkwardness with Peter when she gets back, especially if it's been the summer.
