Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

'The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco'

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Aren't your hips supposed to move when you dance Bollywood? Because Robin's sure didn't.

But it was a game shot, and I'm sure he didn't figure that would come up when he signed on for the gig.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Did Shaw just put on an engagement ring?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Why does the name Shaw seem significant?

Reminds me of The Manchurian Candidate.

I love Awesome as a spy. It's good times. I'm also liking the addition of Shaw. Could make things interesting. Professionally, at least. The wedding ring (and his pointed comment to Sarah) implies personally as well.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Love the Warriors reference!

I missed it. 'Splain?

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Upon googling "Shaw" and "superman" on a whim, the top hit was George Bernard Shaw and "Man and Superman".

Maybe Shaw's wife's name is Ann who bullied him into marrying her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I missed it. 'Splain?

When Lester was taunting Morgan with the "come out and pla-ay!" line.

Art Crawl!!!

Sanctuary - yes. That was the main problem - but otherwise it was amusing and made sense in the context of the story. I mean, dance as a method of speaking to God is a thing after all, no? Plus, isn't Kali often pictured dancing - Kali and Shiva both - so associating dance with Kali also makes sense.
