Why couldn't Giles have shackles like any self-respecting bachelor?

Boxed Set, Vol. V: Just a Hint of Denial and a Dash of Retcon

A topic for the discussion of Doctor Who, Arrow, and The Flash. Beware possible invasions of iZombie, Sleepy Hollow, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi, superhero, or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect adult content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Marvel superheroes are discussed over at the MCU thread.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Upon googling "Shaw" and "superman" on a whim, the top hit was George Bernard Shaw and "Man and Superman".

Maybe Shaw's wife's name is Ann who bullied him into marrying her.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I missed it. 'Splain?

When Lester was taunting Morgan with the "come out and pla-ay!" line.

Art Crawl!!!

Sanctuary - yes. That was the main problem - but otherwise it was amusing and made sense in the context of the story. I mean, dance as a method of speaking to God is a thing after all, no? Plus, isn't Kali often pictured dancing - Kali and Shiva both - so associating dance with Kali also makes sense.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Fox readying U.S. version of 'Torchwood'.

The project is from BBC Worldwide Prods., with original series creator Russell Davies writing the script.

Also, some of the current cast — most likely John Barrowman, who plays the immortal Capt. Jack Harkness — might star if Fox orders "Torchwood" to pilot.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

how is this going to work? What a weird choice. I wonder how the stories will flow with the BBC version.

Maybe the closer we get to it the more info we will get.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What happens to UK Torchwood, then?

What an unnecessary idea. Especially purloining the original actors. I wish it nothing but fail. And the idea of remaking Doctor Who for the US? Oy.
