What's the rush, connie? The fall season doesn't start for a month.

And speculation will be starting, and it just seemed a unique change of pace to have something ready to go when the need for it (for several of us) arises.

I'd rather not be on the mid-season break before the poll information is analyzed and re-analzyed and mulled and kerfuffled to the point where various people decide it's not a stake to the heart of the community to consider a TV thread.

If this loses, so be it. But something will be decided.

Our wings are not tired.

The ads are starting, and the time agreed to take a break ends tomorrow. We can have the "where do we go from here" (with music!) discussion overlap. The more general conversations that will take place when the poll is over will likely extend for some time.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

What Laura said.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

But something will be decided.
It's why we vote.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

We already had four days of discussion when Connie agreed to postpone the vote. So does that mean we go straight to the voting tomorrow? Since the postponement was "extra-constitutional" (i.e. our voted-upon rules don't allow for it), we're in uncharted waters. Personally, I think there's been quite enough discussion and we should go straight to the vote, but what do others think?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Personally, I think there's been quite enough discussion and we should go straight to the vote, but what do others think?

That right now, without having seen the data resulting from the poll, I'd be most likely, as Hec is, to vote no, and that it doesn't seem fair to the proposal to rush ahead with it at this time.

Art Crawl!!!

I thought that we put a halt to discussion -- and we were going to have more discussion after the wait. I didn't realize we were just waiting to vote.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

If we go straight to a vote right before the weekend I foresee a lot of post hoc protest. So I would suggest another four days for discussion, until Tuesday, basically because I don't actually foresee a lot of discussion given how much we've discussed thread creation of late.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think bon bon is wise, and also I agree with her on waiting to vote.
