There's something about a food that moves all by itself that gives me the heebie-jeebies.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Yes yes yes, Nora! And I believe your last white-fonted words were exactly the same ones I used to describe the ending (though perhaps with not quite so many exclamation points).

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I still loved the episode and the series. Being upset definitely doesn't contradict that.

I'm not sure how that works in my brain, but it does.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Edit: Nebbermind.

Aieeee! Stupid freaking formatting, I deleted immediately, I hope no one saw it. Bah. Reposting and won't get fancy this time.

Another blog entry [link] where I ganked the following quote:

While someone else realised that Sam didn’t return to 1973 just for Annie.

He went back, of course, for The Jacket.

I'm really, really, really sorry about that.

It's no problem for me, Nora, since I've seen it. And I generally disagree with you and Jon and ita on the whole thing, but I don't really have anything new to say about it. *g*

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I generally disagree with you and Jon and ita on the whole thing,

Really? Because I disagree with Jon and Nora. I think I missed your stance.

I think I missed Dana's stance too.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Maybe I disagree with everyone.

Though I thought the finale fell just short of being perfect, I loved the ambiguity, and I have a very hard time looking at it as simply "Sam woke up, was too messed up to go on, and killed himself." The creators claim that they never intended it to be ambiguous about whether he was actually mad, in a coma, or back in time, but I think the show itself never really answered that question, and I much prefer it that way.

I am dubious about the spinoff, but we'll see.
