"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

More importantly... why would one need stick on eyebrows?

I'm guessing that all of the radiation made us lose our hair or something.

Who came closest to predicting bluetooth earpieces? Empire Strikes Back? Or was there something earlier?

Uhura had a wicked earpiece in Star Trek.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, I just read this one now:

Jacques Heim thinks a popular wardrobe item in the year 2000 might be a fishnet costume treated to protect milady from atomic radiation; a full skirt would be designed to envelope the wearer completely.

okay....

I told you it was all about the nuclear bombs!! The stick-on eyebrows were because all the hair falls out with the radiation sickness.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Checking my lame-ass math skills. 14 is what percent of 86?

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

Because of a tendency to crash your gyrocopter?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Because of falling personal air machines?

The last one is pretty goofy too:

Madame Carven thinks Miss 2000 will hark back to romantic drapery. Concessions to the age might be a triangular hat to cover a head arial and full dress panels convertible to electric wings.

Because of falling personal air machines?

Or women in electric wing-dresses falling out of the sky....

Well, I wouldn't call it romantic, but it is drapery: [link]

And I'm off to shop!
