I actually watch FNL on tape delay, which is the reverse of my usual habit of watching the preferred show and taping the second place one. But sometimes I just need to see it again. Which is ALSO weird because I so very rarely rewatch anything.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

From my above link:

Jacques Griffe sees in the crystal ball an evening costume including bolero, trousers of simulated barrage balloon cloth, plastic belt, and shock-absorbent suede cap. The futuristic stick-on eyebrows are jeweled.

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

Speaking of dresses and fashion, my sister just shot me an e-mail--she's trolling for my bridesmaid dress on e-bay, and found this one, which I love and told her to bid on, especially if she can get it for under $50!

I TiVo FNL and give myself at least a half-hour buffer. I watch it by myself, because I tend to flail and make a lot of incoherent noises.

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

For the nuclear bomb's shockwave, of course!

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

I think it might have something to do with the thought transference.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

In the Future, we will have very poor depth perception, and fragile heads.

Ah. And then the barrage-balloon trousers would be to defend one against enemy aircraft trying to sneak under the radar....

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Why would one need one's suede cap to be shock-absorbent?

To avoid concusion when one trips on the balloon cloth trousers. More importantly... why would one need stick on eyebrows?

Who came closest to predicting bluetooth earpieces? Empire Strikes Back? Or was there something earlier?

I'm guessing that all of the radiation made us lose our hair or something.

Uhura had a wicked earpiece in Star Trek.
