utterly rocks
Hee. Thanks. This is the furthest I have ever gone in school. Well, the furthest and actually had passing grades.
Here are the decsriptions:
LIT 210 World Literature - ‘B’ Courses Calendar
This course covers prose and poetry by major world authors. Readings are chosen to enhance appreciation of literature and to prompt students to explore universal themes and values as well as the creative literary techniques that appear in great works. (3 credits)
BEH 225 Introduction to Behavioral Science - ‘A’ Courses Calendar
This course focuses on human personality, motivation, learning, and cognition. The theories and insights of major figures in psychology are discussed. Neuroscience, psychological disorders, and therapies are also considered in relation to human behavior. (3 credits)
And yes - social work degree. Plus, these are all classes I *have* to take Core education and all that. I'm holding my actual business classes off for a bit.
I still have hope that I will find the TV clickers in the last couple of boxes marked "misc." by the movers.
Oh Sparky, I feel your pain! We were so good about labeling most of the boxes we packed (for nobody's benefit but our own, as it turned out, since the movers only read Spanish), but everything from the last frantic day or so ended up being "Misc - living room?" And, of course, the reason they were the last things we packed was because we were using them up until the last minute, so we need them!
I agree with amych about the Behavioral Science class.
And, of course, the reason they were the last things we packed was because we were using them up until the last minute, so we need them!
We tried to work around this by actually labeling those boxes "last minute", and then we realized that while they did have all the stuff we needed, they also had a lot of junk we put off packing because we didn't know what on earth to do with it.
Heh- I have gone into meltdowns about the last minute boxes, so with this past move, I made sure to load those in the car. This only works if you have a car though. Also, since we had access to the place for about a week before we moved, we bought and put in soap, hand towels, papertowels. And I kept clean sheets and bath towels and toiletries in the last minute boxes.
Things went pretty well. I guess having moved about a brazillion times finally paid off.
and then we realized that while they did have all the stuff we needed, they also had a lot of junk we put off packing because we didn't know what on earth to do with it.
Heh - exactly. The Misc boxes are about half "we need this right now!" and half "we own this why?"
I went on an unpacking quest last night to locate the books from my TBR pile, which I'd cleverly separated out from the rest of the books, and then not-so-cleverly packed in a Misc box. I did eventually find them, though.

We rented a Zipcar for a day so we could do this. (I also moved the coffee grinder, electric kettle, coffee, mugs, and filters.) There's really nothing worse than settling into your new home after a long day of moving, only to discover that you forgot to buy any toilet paper.
HR tells me that I am all set. Despite all the literature that says I must supply a copy of my marriage certificate, they handed it back to me and told me it wasn't necessary. (Raise your hand if you believe all the correct deductions will be taken out of my next paycheck.)
Oh Sparky, I feel your pain!
I'm past pain and working on amused and just-don't-care-anymore. I can't imagine moving while pregnant, so color me impressed with your undertaking.
In anticipation of finally moving into a two bedroom, every night I try to pick a small cupboard to clean out and be brutal with the throwing away. Last week I did the "baby cupboard". I matched up all the bottles with tops, threw out all of the nipples, threw out the bottles that were crap and then packed them all away. I threw out formula, toddler cookies, and infant cereal that was over a year old. Maybe tonight while I'm cleaning the kitchen I'll clean out baking cupboard.
YAY Sparky! (Not raising my hand even a little bit, though.)
