Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I love the way you worded this, Cashmere.
First name basis with alcohol, I'll bet. Sofia may become a regular, too. I'm sure the boys won't mind.
Looks like Big storm is only grazing us. We were supposed to get several inches of snow last night but seem to have gotten only a bit. Second wave comes tonight.
I'm glad you just got grazed. I hope the second wave doesn't cause you much grief, either.
We're under a winter storm watch--which is why I nixed another attempt for Christopher to take the kids to see his folks. They'd be driving Northwest directly into the path.
I really need to start paying attention to diet and getting some freakin' excercise. I weighed myself and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. As in ever (without being pregnant) and I can tell.
Be careful Daniel & Andi. Sounds like stay home and snuggle time for sure.
Sounds like stay home and snuggle time for sure.
Oooh, yeah. And the hot cocoa sounds like an awesome plan, too.
Our storm warning has been changed to 4 pm tonight. I'm hoping to get to the grocery store early and then run my in town (walking distance) errands earlyish too.
Then, stay snug at home.
We've got Matilda dressed in the dress vw knitted for her. She looks very cute, and is quite content to eat the pretty ribbon in front. We'll take pictures before she's covered in drool.
I can't believe she's almost 5 months. Emmett was sooooo much bigger at 5 months (19 vs. her 11). He was crawling at 6 months and walking at 9 months. There's no way she's coming close to those milestones.
(I'm not worried that she's taking her own developmental pace. Just commenting on what a different parenting experience this is.)
We've got a morning practice and then I'm free to scamper off to a cafe and write stuff.
We have a pretty well stocked alcohol cabinet now. We have purchased a few things, and when T's parent's moved, they gave us all their open bottles that the movers wouldn't allow them to pack. We usually have beer or wine, but occassionally we'll make a margarita, or a cosmo, or something with the Parrot Bay rum.
I want to see wee Matilda in her vw dress. I am sure she is extra adorable in it.
Hey, did the bowling dress Kat and I bought ever fit Lillian?
She's ALMOST big enough for it now!
Lillian took one look and said, "On?"
Then she tried putting it on her legs as pants.
Ah! So cute.
I was trying to find pictures to show my mother while I was back home. It wasn't that hard to convince her I had two modes of baby-stuff-giving: either krav or Jamaica. But I think she ended up staring at the side of my head more than at the pictures of Lil and Mac.
My co-workers, who (obviously) don't know any of y'all, are still familiar with your offspring, because whenever new pictures of any Buffista sprog are posted, I click, go "Eeeeeeee!", and then turn my monitor towards my co-workers and make them look.
The funniest co-worker comment was regarding Kara, after I told some classic Kara stories and then showed pictures: "You know, she doesn't LOOK evil...."
"You know, she doesn't LOOK evil...."
Hee! You made my day, Tep. She's giving me the cold shoulder because I told her she has to clean her room before she can watch Lady and the Tramp.
Too bad I have to set a good example. I'd much rather watch the movie.
