I am not...I am not the damsel in distress. I am not some case. I have to work this. I've lived in a cave for 5 years in a world where they killed my kind like cattle. I am not going to be cut down by some monster flu. I am better than that. What a wonder...how very scared I am.

Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Analysis: tea with honey does not taste good. But it is throat-soothing.

What is even happening?

Four o'clock in the morning? Oy.

Cashmere is Owen sick, or just having some wonky sleep patterns?

Now tagless for your comfort.

Cashmere is Owen sick, or just having some wonky sleep patterns?

Wonky sleep stuff. He wakes up every once in a great while at odd times and doesn't put himself back to sleep. It's rare enough but really annoying when he's WIDE AWAKE instead of willing to be put back to bed.

Because books.

And that's putting it mildly.

I so need one of those bottles of Fuckitol Jessica linked to the other day.

I was excited when I thought the word of the day on dictionary.com was slayer, but it was a more unpleasant word.

slaver \SLAV-uhr; SLAY-vuhr\, intransitive verb: 1. To slobber; to drool.

noun: 1. Saliva drooling from the mouth.

I'll be using the Afrin in the day, today, because I can only use the prescription once a day.

the Afrin i got is 12 hour and it actually lasts that long. it's amazing. it burns for a few seconds, but it's not bad.

Now, Julia's sick.

ugh. this sounds like my family. we all just passed around a stomach bug.

Owen woke up at FOUR FUCKING O'CLOCK this morning with "Wanna go downstairs & play."

naughty Owen. let your mommy and daddy at least sleep until six.

Because books.

I'm sitting here getting nauseous. We *think* my Crazy!BiL bought a kerosene heater for his bedroom, which would explain the awful gas smell upstairs.

If not, as we *do* have gas heat, an awful gas smell is coming from the furnace, and we need to call the gas company. I have the window cracked. And I also have a headache now.

Our wings are not tired.

That doesn't sound good AmyLiz. Do you have carbon monoxide detectors?

Amy - Feb 13, 2007 4:52:55 am PST #5222 of 10001
Because books.

Do you have carbon monoxide detectors?

Please. We barely have heat. This house is so old, and my FiL needs a crank to open his wallet. We could buy them, I know, but money is a big issue for us right now. Leaky faucets, a hole in the kitchen ceiling, wonky electrical -- all of it can be ignored, according to FiL.

In so-far-not-blowed-up news, the Anna Nicole thing is so weird to me. All these men claiming to be the baby's father when it's still not clear that Anna Nicole would keep that inheritance (and therefore make her baby the beneficiary)? Or am I missing something? I thought the inheritance was still in dispute.
