It's true! Howard's totally thrown down. I want Obama to settle it in the old-fashioned way, with bare knuckles at dawn. Mainly because I like the image of our PM getting smacked around. He's getting smacked in the papers and by the Opposition, incidentally. Howard usually plays lowest-common-denominator politics very skilfully, but he's cocked this one up good and proper.

I want a snow day. Even though I'm getting a three-day weekend! How greedy of me.

I should start going to the gym again, shouldn't I. This ten-pound weight gain, oddly, coincided with me stopping exercising because it's too cold to move. Damn. I hate the gym.

I will be very bitter if DC gets a snow day tomorrow or Wednesday and I don't because I am in Texas. That would SUCK.

I can't even.

I can always ask the building manager to take out some of the flourescent bulbs. If I could just cut them in half it would be tolerable. Or possibly a nice table lamp instead.

Just reach up and move the bulb slightly out of the ballast, and viola, half as much obnoxious light. I have the maintenance guys at my work trained not to re-adjust them.

I re-watched the Studio 60 ep, which was probably a rerun, I dunno, I don't follow it regularly. I'm going to try, though. That was good angst.
