Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Hey. New board.

Treo typing so not replying to much. Read it all though! Am glad NYC is a water town: if the degrees went negative I think I would die.

The English teacher at my school got hit in the face breaking up a fight today. This is bad. Especially since she was already considering leaving midyear - it's her third year teaching and she is miserable rather than adjusting. This pushed her over - she'll be gone by March. Bad news. I'll miss her, and losing another teacher (we've lost TWO science teachers) gives us a 50 percent midyear staff attrition rate. Not a pleasant statistic, nor good for the school culture/community.

So I had a martini and am now having french onion soup. Seemed like the only thing to do.

On the plus side, my informal principal's observation today was glowing, and class has gone great for the last three days.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That sucks, Gris.

Come visit us in SF and I'll buy you a martini.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Ack, Gris. That's unfortunate. Enjoy your soup.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gris, sorry about the suckiness at the school; I'm glad your class is going well at least.

A fine plan! Europe is first on my list of "places to visit summer 2007" but SF is second. LOTS of college friends there, not to mention buffistas.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Speaking of visiting San Francisco, I'd like to pimp this particular inducement, as well as its companion, to Daisy Jane. And maybe Aimée.

Probably even faster than a plane ticket.

We never made it to Dark Garden during the SF2F anyway, so clearly a revisit is very much in order.
