[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Thanks, Sail. I called the doctor's office to check on the throat culture the E.R. ran, on Sunday. It came back negative, so this is probably just a virus, and is probably the virus Chris had (and that I may well have). It's just too much in a row. He had strep. He had pneumonia (at least our doctor thought he did). Now he's got this fever. The poor little guy. He hasn't been to school since his birthday, on 1/26.

I didn't know you had the fibroid issue, too. Ah, the joys of womanhood.

Beverly, I'm sorry that you and your mother are sick, and that you're again missing your beach trip.

Dying of the funny. I think, "Meta me there," is possibly the best part.
I think so. I started to correct the spelling as I was posting it, and then realized that's half of what makes it funny. Of course, the other half is her attempt to get her father to think I've cuckolded him.

All is well that ends in pizza.

On Superbowl Sunday, a 17 year old minnesota kid decided to "uphold family tradition" and run barefoot around the block during halftime.

It was -17 Fahrenheit.

Idiot was treated for severe frostbite at a burn center in the Twin Cities yesterday.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Beverly}}}, I'm sorry that you're sick and missing your ocean time. Health~ma to you and your mother.

Deena, I am glad Aidan was able to enjoy his birthday a little more in the evening. I hope the cough gets better soon.

Cindy, I hope Ben's fever goes down soon.

I just wiki-ed Fernet. I thought it was similar to Absinthe but it really seems more like Jägermeister.

Must be an acquired taste?

Shit's all sorts of different now.

{{{Bev}}}

THanks for all of the advice, everyone. We'll try bumping her back to 8. Last night she turned into Stealth Toddler. I didn't hear her cry, I didn'thear her wake up.

I did, however, freakout when I noticed her in the bed next to me this morning. It is so hard to be consistent at 2am. I can't remember how I did those middle of the night feedings when she was a baby baby.

Ugh.

What is even happening?

Thanks, sj. Due to the Tylenol/Motrin double punch, it's under 99, right now. I just want it to break and be done for the poor kid.

I always imagine Fernet to be alcoholic Moxie.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Ah, Bev. Bleh.

yep. and jagermeister is close, but the herbs are stronger in fernet

Also, Fernet is Not Sweet.

Mmm. Fernet.

Seriously, I can't imagine slamming it. I like the taste too much for that.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Much closer to ASS, actually.

t /Fernet unbeliever

Must be an acquired taste?

Ugh. But then, I don't like Jäger, either, so that probably plays a part.
