Thrive to spite them

I need some jobma. I don't want to say what's going on but strong vibes heading this way would be appreciated.

move out and draw fire

Oh Cindy, what an ordeal.

I couldn't swallow pills until sometime right around age 11, maybe a bit later.

I would like to point out that a FREAKING CRANE fell across the FREAKING 405 and it took GC 45 minutes to go 10 miles. It rained here today, and the bus/metro went on strike, and it took me 45 minutes to go 3.5 miles.

Although the LA change was worse, because I think it usually takes 8 minutes to go 10 miles, and it usually takes me 20 minutes to go 3.5.

Neat day yesterday - The first-time moms who are also working mothers (all four of us) had a playgroup, and it was actually really cool to hang out with like people. Mal had a great time and has a girlfriend (the little pumpkin in the Halloween photos)...when he arrived, she ran over and hugged and kissed him. He was nonplussed. But then, when we left, he went and hugged and kissed her goodbye.

Thrive to spite them

Sometimes I have trouble swallowing big pills (like the new ones I've been taking). One thing I do is drink some water before I try to swallow the pill, I think it's harder to swallow if my mouth is a little dry.

{{P-C}} Argh. I feel for you. I think your biodata rocks and I hope you manage to persevere on using it, not your mother's idea of a good biodata.

{{Cindy}} I hope things calm down this week. I am allergic to Zithromax, but I can't remember what my doctor gave me instead. Not very helpful, I'm sorry.

Sail, what team was your daughter on?

She's on the Quad Squad. It's one of the four teams that make up the local Madison league, the Mad Rollin' Dolls. The league has a tournament team called the Dairyland Dolls that plays in national tournaments, one of them is in Austin, TX. Who knows, they might have played the Lynwood team at some point! It's really surprising how roller derby has made such a comeback. Makes me wish I was 20 years younger.

We have -16 here this morning. Bleah. I wish I could have stayed home, but I'm the boss.

Good morning, Bitches. After driving 1300+ miles in the past two days, my DH and I are in our empty apartment in DC, waiting for the movers to bring my coffee maker and the cable guy to bring our Internet. (I seem to be posting from a neighbor's network -- don't tell!)

~ma to all, as I have skipped.

Because books.

Sparky! A happy landing, huh? Yay!

Compassionately intolerant

Welcome to DC!

Is your empty apartment at least warm? I'm giving thanks for my quite good heater and have plenty of slounging space for local otter pops.

It's so bleeding cold out there (14-"feels like 0") that the fuzzball hasn't gotten a walk yet today.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

YAY EAST COAST SPARKY! The librarian-fu of the whole mid-atlantic region has just gotten a bump! (but the lack of coffee and internet and stuff kinda sucks...)

The apartment is warm, but since the only place to sit is on the floor or the stairs, I can't take advantage of the warmest spots. My DH is out on a mission to fill my coffee mug, bless him.
