Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

Our wings are not tired.

Both of my sisters and my mother had hysterectomies. Mom and Judi in their early 30s, Mona in her early 50s. I was the only one that made it through menopause with no issues. Never really had ouchy girl problems, just a bunch of miscarriages. My theory was that my lack of producing proper hormones kept me from having the issues the other women in my family had to endure.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Downloading "janet."

Forgot how dirty a song "If" is.

She said "your smooth and shiny".

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Oh, Robin, that's so tough. But there's a couple of things to consider. First of all, for hysterectomies for fibroids, there's usually no reason to remove the ovaries, so you probably won't need hormone replacement or anything like that.

And if they don't need remove the ovaries, they can remove the uterus laparoscopically through the vagina. No huge abdominal incision, a greatly reduced recuperation time, and just a lot less disruption of your life.

Crap! I wa so busy being 12 I forgot to say, Ooof Robin. I sure hope you don't have to have one. But I also want the fibroids to STOP GROWING. I'll give lots of hugs.{{{{{{{{{{{}}}}}}}}}

CASS! Brocken World fixed the title. (Though the writing remains... stubbornly and bravely appalling in a way that remains bafflingly appealling.)

Robin, my mother's been pretty happy with her hysterectomy. She had the incision style, and recovery was a little rough, but I think she wishes she'd had it done years before.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Khaaaaaan!

Nooooooooooooooooooooo! And I was just about to look for crack too. (Had my e open and everything) Damn, of all the things they could have fixed? The title misspell was really the most charming of all the things wrong there.

Robin, my mom had her hyster ages ago with the ovaries remaining and she's not had any troubles after. It was for uterine cancer. She's woofty as all hell, lovely and even a lurker (but not in this thread unless invited specifically) if you ever wanted to ask questions. I can pass them along or you can e her.

Brave little toasters renamed the chapters as well. Did someone feedback?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

My mother and a friend both say their hysterectomies were among their better decisions. It does take a while to get your strength back, but my mother was so much better than she had been. She was an extreme case, though. By the time she had her hysterectomy, she was having to have transfusions. Almost anything would have been better.

Well, I'm seriously doubting it was for (self-directed) quality control...

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Robin, sorry to hear the fibroids are attacking. No fun.

I don't think I squeed over the boy yet. Yay, Jessica's baby boy!
