Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Brocken World fixed the title.
Brave little toasters renamed the chapters as well. Did someone feedback?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

She had the incision style, and recovery was a little rough, but I think she wishes she'd had it done years before.

My mother and a friend both say their hysterectomies were among their better decisions. It does take a while to get your strength back, but my mother was so much better than she had been. She was an extreme case, though. By the time she had her hysterectomy, she was having to have transfusions. Almost anything would have been better.

Well, I'm seriously doubting it was for (self-directed) quality control...

WHEN do children get over this love of insipid children's tunes??? WHEN!!!!!!!!!!??????????

Oh PMM, I'm so sorry! I remember those days... ugh... the worst part was I found myself humming them at work!! With my kids, they were 5-ish. The daughter went from ear-sporking Barney songs to the Lion King soundtrack, which was much easier to take. The son, on the other hand went for Weird Al... um... yeah, he's got different musical taste. BUT there is an upside! Just yesterday the 15 y.o. told me that the lunch topic between her and her friends was "who is better U2 or Duran Duran" (it was a draw)

From the BBC via Undernews:

Exhausted scientists surrender after 3-year battle to make sloth move

For three years, scientists at the University of Jena tried to persuade Mats the sloth to cooperate in an experiment on animal movement.

But nothing they tried -- not even the promise of cucumbers and spaghetti -- could persuade the lethargic Mats to get up off the floor of his cage, climb a pole and climb back down.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen was singing "Old Macdonald" in the grocery store this morning. I have no idea. I've been lucky at redirecting his taste to some things that I enjoy. He still likes the Curious George soundtrack and a Schoolhouse Rock CD I have. I should get the Mulan soundtrack because he really seems to remember most of the songs--and I don't hate them. Yet.

I just saw a cute video by Lisa Loeb on Noggin (who is apparently continuing to branch out into kids' music). I need to look up and see if she's released an album.
