Matilda is fully napped and refreshed, and happily talking to herself in the bouncy seat right now. I've been drowsing and watching my Christmas present from Hec, a box set of the BBC series
The Pallisers
(beautifully cast and acted, but why why why do some of the Victorian ballgowns have obvious zippers up the back?) and sipping a cup of Earl Grey, and I feel just about human again. I'm cancelling my order from RocketShipsRUs.com right now.
Lee, weekend swoopage may be possible (less urgently necessary than a couple of hours ago, but still always a good thing); let me poke around and check some stuff.

I am up for Saturday night slounging, as well.

Awesome! Possibly a group slounge.
I'm glad things are better, JZ.
Saturday night may not work for me, unfortunately, but Sunday is completely free.
Oy. I just called, and the customer service person called the driver who said he's running an hour to an hour and a half behind. I want my food!
I did get them to take the delivery charge off my next order, though.
Now what do I do: go to the store around the corner and buy a can of soup or something; eat an apple and wait; make a burrito or something with the tortillas, canned beans, and salsa I've got on hand; or boil some frozen ravioli and try to improvise a sauce with canned tomatoes, onions, garlic, dried herbs, and tomato paste?
Kristin, a tattoo for you: [link]
Hil, an apple if that will hold you. Otherwise the burrito as that sounds easier than a whole sauce (What do I know? My pasta sauces can skew toward the simple.)

yeah. They are always running late to my house. It's gotten so that I never count on them for dinner that night, because they will almost always be late. And then I get the delivery charge taken off, and it's fine. I'd almost rather them be late at this point. :)
Question now -- do I go home and eat the leftover lamb, veggies and potatoes (which is really quite good). or do I brave Costco and get some tuna and make tartare, which I am totally craving right now. With , of course, the risk of Costco being OUT of tuna.
This is my first time using the delivery from Safeway. I've used it from Giant before, and never had a problem.

I think I want to go as an Amy Brown fairy to the next Con.

Pete will disown you. If you want to go as a fairy, pick an artist who isn't quite so obviously ripping off inspired by other artists.
