Spike's Bitches 34: They're All Slime and Antlers

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

...I'm sure I had things to say, but then Lilybean broke me. And then, as I was slowly pulling myself together, you hit me with SPN RPS picspam, and head go boom.

...

...

So...what underwear is everyone wearing, and what music are youlistening to right now?

White lace bra. Black girlboxers with pink cherries on 'em. I am The Queen Of Notmatchingness today, beneath my facade of matchy matchiness. (I hold Buffistas responsible for my girlboxers. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.)

Listening to Regina Spektor, one of many albums/playlists acquired from SA. (So I hold Buffistas responsible for my earworm also. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.)

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Listening to Regina Spektor, one of many albums/playlists acquired from SA.

I just got one of her songs on a mix a friend made me ("Fidelity"). Good stuff.

It's nice to see some brave pretenders trying to make it interesting.

Happy Belated, Andi!

I skimmed a lot. Babies are cute, make-up is almost a foreign language for me, and I need to put on underthings and clothing and get to work.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thanks, d. Have a decent day at work.

I'm eating instant oatmeal - sugar free apples & cinnamon - with a handful of almonds and cashews mixed in. AIFok. I think the sugar free versions skip the little dehydrated apple bits, or maybe it's this brand in particular. Anyway, I think it would really benefit by a handful of some fruit with a bit of tart to it.

Hot cereal:

Oh, never mind. I forgot what I was going to say.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh, never mind. I forgot what I was going to say.

Something about 13th century Bulgarian succession rules?

All is well that ends in pizza.

We have a stock of real apples, milady...

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Andi, it sounds like Daniel did a magnificent job making up for the family drama. I don't want to go too far out on a limb, but it's just possible that he may be a keeper.

ION, somebody please cluestick me about ever going anywhere near the message boards at BabyCenter -- I was just looking up info on recommendations for TV exposure for children under 2, and the message boards are making me depressed about the future of teh humans. F'rinstance:

THIS IS THE STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER READ! i'VE WATCHED T.V MY WHOLE LIFE AND I"M OK! MY BB HAS WATCHED T.V FROM HE MOMENT HE WAS ABLE TOO! ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS THANK GOD FOR T.V! AND THAT DOESN"T MAKE ME A BAD PARENT!!!!!!!!! PEOPLE NEED TO RELAX AND JUST CHILL! WHY IS T.V SO BAD ANYWAY! IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO ME! WHATEVER.........

Or this woman, the anti-Xander:

My TV is on most of the day because I am a stay-at-home mom. [Is this a requirement? Shit! I'm totally behind on my quota, and I only have four days to go!] ... I don't know if I could stand the quiet if the TV or radio wasn't on.

And the mom who explains patiently to first-time moms that they need to use their own judgment because after all pediatricians don't know everything, and that their anti-TV propaganda is very similar to their pro-vaccination propaganda and likely to be just as dangerous and damaging.

These people are totally making the baby Jesus ball up His little fists and wail with baby rage.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

These people are totally making the baby Jesus ball up His little fists and wail with baby rage.

No, no, no, His baby rage was caused by the teevee. Or by the fact that it got switched off. Or something.

Now tagless for your comfort.

JZ, BACK AWAY FROM BABYCENTER! It's peopled with people who make me want to seek them out and strangle them.
