He is not a big breakfast person, but I am going to work on trying to get him to eat oatmeal.
Dude. Tell him that oatmeal, all on its own (I very seriously made NO other dietary changes, and although I don't eat constant junk, I don't watch what I eat very closely; and I also didn't increase my sporadic exercise) lowered my cholesterol almost 10% in 6 months. I mean, that's the kind of decrease that *medication* can cause, but oatmeal is yummy and has no side effects.
Damn, that is early
I so totally hear that! I would rather drag my butt to the gym after a loooong day at work than give up any of my sleep time. But this way guarantees that he gets the exercise in. It's so funny, DH's bed time is earlier than my 10 y.o.!
EtA: Steph is so right, the Dr. told the DH that oatmeal was the key!
Day-umn. No way I can handle that kind of exercise regime any time in the forseeable future. Impressive stuff.
Damn, that is early
In JilliLand, that's not early, that's the middle of the night.
And on some insomnia-laden nights, it's bedtime.

I know! If it's still dark outside, then I'm still sleeping! The worst part of it all for me? He lets the cats into the bedroom when he leaves (he says it's *accidental* HA!) so that I'm usually awake by 5:30 because of "crazy kitty time"
Does he feed the cats? Because my cats annoy me in the morning because they want to be fed. (But if I want to sleep in I can feed them and go back to bed and they will be fine.)
I think that they sit and wait until I move, because last night I went to bed earlier than usual resulting in waking up at 3:45 and my cats were RIGHT. THERE. WAITING.
Does he feed the cats?
No, no he does not. They are usually pretty blase about food, they have dry all the time, but they think that if he's up then everybody should be up and playing! So they bring things like fuzzy mice to me and then proceed to fight about who gets to sit where, etc. They don't get to sleep in our room so when the door is open, they make a beeline for it. (They are banned from my son's room for Lego destruction and from my daughter's for breaking her TV (knocked it off the shelf)) so you can see where an open door is huge for them!
75% loss of the citrus and avocado crop
Strawberries too.. very sad! The estimates I saw were a total loss of all Valencia oranges, and 70 to 75% of the navel oranges and lemons
Ouch.
hugs satsumas very tight
Apropos of fun t-shirts, I need to buy this shirt for every bartender I know.
TJ's now carries McCann's Irish steel-cut oatmeal in regular and instant. It is of the yum.
I'm a lunchtime workout kind of person - I need the sun out if I'm running.
Holy shit! I just found out that I apparently never deposited one of my paychecks from last year, so they're going to reissue it. Wow.
