Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It is midnight board time.

Unless Cindy is still around, I'll post her motion in Press.

Stil not sure about APB.

Item 4:

How were we modifying it?

  • Item 4: Discussion and Voting Period Time Limits
  • A yes vote on this item signifies the voter agrees that a full week's time is sufficient to discuss and decide on the issue. The week would be broken down thusly: Discussion: Days 1, 2, 3, and 4. Voting: Days 5, 6, 7. NOTE - added on edit *** When there is a conflict for major holidays (to be defined) we will make accomodations (to be defined) as needed. ***

A no vote on this item signifies that the voter doesn't agree with this timetable and is requesting that the community continue to discuss timetables.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think that's a perfectly respectable question. I'm starting to come around to thinking a longer time is better, so I'll probably vote no at this point.

OK, so if we're going to post an APB, what should it say, and where should it link to?

Nice! I'd also note that voting starts tonight at midnight board time, and runs through the end of Friday. (Right?)

And then your link to Press is a post with a link to the proposal?

Also, I think the question on # 4 is that there is a confusion between "a week" and the spilt between discussion/voting.

    How about:

vote on this item signifies the voter agrees that 7 days time is sufficient to BOTH discuss AND decide on the issue. The week would be broken down thusly: Discussion: Days 1, 2, 3, and 4. Voting: Days 5, 6, 7. NOTE - added on edit *** When there is a conflict for major holidays (to be defined) we will make accomodations (to be defined) as needed. ***

Yup. I guess at this point, I will wait until 11:58 or so to do all of this.

    And one more question--

are we definately extending the voting period. i think maybe we hould extend.

I will just note that this is a very odd definition of a seven days. We did not start formal discussion until Monday. Voting will close Friday (or is it Saturday). I have trouble getting seven days out of this. I'm with Allyson - we are rushing a bit.

t edited to close an open bold.

I'm actually not all that comfortable with just us changing the text two hours before we want people to start voting, but I can tell I'm turning into a freak about this.
