I can't even.

Back from Pennsic, restocked with groceries lost in the blackout, laundry is done, and a couple of days off work as my office is closed to help with the power shortage. I just might be able to catch up in all my threads here with no work distraction. Once some good pics from Pennsic start hitting the Net, I'll post a link or two in Natter.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Been pretty gray but making it official. Until the move (assuming all goes well and the landlord doesn't do us ill) is over, I'll be dark gray at best. I will, hopefully, be more present sometime after 9/5.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Greyish at present, likely to shade to charcoal/black soon. All being well, should leave country in a week's time and not sure of internet access -- however, new employers still haven't sent me any damn info to speak of, and I've still not received the air ticket they promised. It may all go tits up. Life-ma greatly appreciated.

Didn't your mom sell you to that carnival?

I was just interviewed by a writer for the Durham Herald-Sun about the play I'm in. This may turn out to be the most ink I've received yet.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Going grayer than usual for the time being, thanks to work changes and associated despair.

I am 30 today! (August 20th - it being half past midnight where I'm at, and so I'm already in tomorrow as far as Board Time is concerned.)

Go me with the not being dead yet!

WRT yesterday's interview, the bad news is, they went with another candidate. The good news is, although I was second choice, I appear to have interviewed very well, as it seems they had nothing but good things to say about me.

More positions are opening up in the wonderful world of Random Contract Employment, and I still have high hopes for the position I interviewed for on Monday.

Strangely, I'm okay with all this.

It really doesn't matter. It's just an opinion. Don't worry about it. Not worth the hassle.

So, UPS just showed up at my door and handed me a box from Penzey's Spices.

So, my jaw dropped.

So, I opened it and read the card, thought about getting naked and rolling around in the various spices and bay leaves and cinnamon sticks and whole nutmeg (and that's just the packing materials). I remembered I had guests, and thought it might make a lot more sense to say

THANKS, Perkins, NoiseDesign and Sean!

And also want to say that I'm going to bake things with the spices and cocoas and everything else enclosed, and send the baked goods to Buffistas.

You completely rock.
