I was just interviewed by a writer for the Durham Herald-Sun about the play I'm in. This may turn out to be the most ink I've received yet.

Going grayer than usual for the time being, thanks to work changes and associated despair.
Off for an interview. Jobma appreciated.
I am 30 today! (August 20th - it being half past midnight where I'm at, and so I'm already in tomorrow as far as Board Time is concerned.)
Go me with the not being dead yet!
WRT yesterday's interview, the bad news is, they went with another candidate. The good news is, although I was second choice, I appear to have interviewed very well, as it seems they had nothing but good things to say about me.
More positions are opening up in the wonderful world of Random Contract Employment, and I still have high hopes for the position I interviewed for on Monday.
Strangely, I'm okay with all this.
So, UPS just showed up at my door and handed me a box from Penzey's Spices.
So, my jaw dropped.
So, I opened it and read the card, thought about getting naked and rolling around in the various spices and bay leaves and cinnamon sticks and whole nutmeg (and that's just the packing materials). I remembered I had guests, and thought it might make a lot more sense to say
THANKS, Perkins, NoiseDesign and Sean!
And also want to say that I'm going to bake things with the spices and cocoas and everything else enclosed, and send the baked goods to Buffistas.
You completely rock.
For those who are following the saga of Am-Chau versus the Exam Board:
Double Science: AA
Obviously, that's good. I'll explain exactly how good in my LJ, in case you're interested.
Thanks for all the good-luck vibes and help you guys have given me. Even when you didn't know it (you talked science. I lurked. I remembered. In my exam, I remembered, and I was more relaxed), the community here has helped me do this.
She and Ross are in #s 4, 5, 6, 13, 14 and 15.
She says: You can tell them we were on the Kennebec river, this was my third rafting trip, and the most intense rapids were called Magic, and they were a class five that day. Magic is the one where our boat is under water. But that's not where I fell out!
So, huh.
It appears Buffista jobma is some weird ass magic, because the other candidate didn't work out, so the position is mine.
I'm all kinds of confused.
