Hey, I can reply to a post in this thread and still be on topic! Go me.
Jess is probably without power.
I was! We grilled some hamburgers, gathered around our battery-powered radio to listen to the news, and then went out onto the dock to watch the stars come out before going to bed only when it became too dark to read. It was all very 1930's.
Currently, I am ALMOST HOME!!! I'm sitting in an internet cafe in the Detroit airport, paying $6 for 15 minutes of internet access, all of which I am devoting to you wonderful people, who I miss very much. I'm not sure if we've got bad weather here, or if the bad weather is in NYC, but the 1:37 pm flight I was on still hasn't left yet, and according to FAA.gov, it's not likely to leave for another half hour. But I wanted to check in and post a "hey, the internet!" message while I had the time. I have no idea if NYC has DSL or cable (or subways) back yet, but hopefully I'll be completely un-dark by tonight.
Mwah!
Patrick and I will be in New York 8/22-8/24. We're going to a wedding the night of the 22 and a party the afternoon of the 23rd, but I would love to meet at least some of you, either Saturday night or Sunday for brunch. We'll be staying in Brooklyn. Email me if yr interested.
As some of you may already know, my husband and I will be in New York City August 22nd to September 4th.

Details would be way TMI, but can I just as for a bit of healthma, and for the less bad results this afternoon?
I'm back from the beach after 2 weeks ish. I was thinking about all of y'all while I was there and sending out good thoughts and worrying about ya'll.
Hugs and comfort to everyone who needs it and congrats to everyone else.
I'll have pictures at some point.
Back from Pennsic, restocked with groceries lost in the blackout, laundry is done, and a couple of days off work as my office is closed to help with the power shortage. I just might be able to catch up in all my threads here with no work distraction. Once some good pics from Pennsic start hitting the Net, I'll post a link or two in Natter.
Been pretty gray but making it official. Until the move (assuming all goes well and the landlord doesn't do us ill) is over, I'll be dark gray at best. I will, hopefully, be more present sometime after 9/5.
Greyish at present, likely to shade to charcoal/black soon. All being well, should leave country in a week's time and not sure of internet access -- however, new employers still haven't sent me any damn info to speak of, and I've still not received the air ticket they promised. It may all go tits up. Life-ma greatly appreciated.
I was just interviewed by a writer for the Durham Herald-Sun about the play I'm in. This may turn out to be the most ink I've received yet.
