We're coming to the end of the school year, so I wanted to reiterate my open (if inconsistently posted) offer to make ribbon lei for any Buffista-adjacent graduating seniors.

Sad news*. I texted Todd last week to wish her a happy birthday, and today got a text from her sister Roxann telling me that she had passed away unexpectedly in March. Apparently there was no funeral service and no obituary that I could find.

Roxann said that she didn't have contact information for her friends who would want to know, so let this be a reminder for everyone to have a note or directive for someone to let us know if something happens.

I'm not sure how I managed to get so far behind in Natter (crazy week last week, etc.), but I just saw the note regarding the small plane crash in San Diego last week. msbelle is correct, it was miles from me (not a lot of miles, it was only a few blocks from friends of mine and I've definitely been to the neighborhood in question), and I'm unaffected. Thanks for checking in.

And the hits just keep coming. I got laid off from my job this morning.

My stepdad collapsed at the gym and is possibly having a heart attack. We’re headed to the hospital now, but we’re an hour away. All the ~ma please.

My brother passed away yesterday, surrounded by his three older sisters, his wife, son, and my husband. His health has been failing, and I had reservations to come visit all of next week, while my sister Mona was going to be flying down yesterday. Brendon told me to just come with her too. We arrived and he passed within the hour. We are grateful that he waited for us.

Actual Mom has some additional testing after an inconclusive mammogram tomorrow. I know mostly it isn't, but she's come down on the wrong side of that before so vibes are requested. Thanks!
