Could I please have some Job-ma? It's for the position above mine, which I am sort of doing anyway, so I figure I might as well be paid for it. I have to prepare a presentation as part of the interview. Public speaking and an interview? Lovely. My anxiety (not just about this) is through the roof, and I feel like I am down to my last spoon. So good vibes tomorrow morning would be great. At this point, I'll be happy if I just don't have a meltdown in front of my bosses.

I am a widow.
PA Buffistas --
I am thinking about accompanying the kiddo back to PA on August 26 or 27th, if anyone would be up for a houseguest for a day or two. (One of us has to fly him back, so I'm thinking if a PA Ffista or two wants to host me, it might be a good thing to ease me into the idea of becoming a PA resident.)
I'd be flying into Philly; I'd be fine with taking public transpo somewhere, but wouldn't be able to rent a car or hotel.
What think ye? (You can ping me via email addy or on FB message.)
If you or a friend is an experienced network architect willing to work at least part time in Denver, my company is looking for someone. Profile address is good.
There is a hole in the world. Kara died this evening. DJ and her sister and friends were there. Thanks to all for your prayers and good thoughts.
Got laid off in the company restructure, but am more OK with it than maybe was even expecting--that said, any job leads in the Seattle Area are OK by me!
Could I get ~ma sent Northern Cali way for my lovely brother-in-law who is in the ICU tonight and goes in for emergency open heart surgery tomorrow morning. Quick recovery is the message to the Surgery Gods.
Update on my mother, who underwent open heart surgery 18 months ago.
She just went in for Shoulder Joint Replacement, and was released two days later.
She says that (at 87) it's nice to know she can still get replacement parts.
Sorry, forgot where I was.
The glorious love and gracious generosity of the Buffistas cannot be described in word. The "holy fuck!" I said when I opened Anne's letter and saw the enclosure is only the barest summary. I do not like thinking about what condition I would be in now if not for this place. I hope that in the months and years to come I'm able to thank some of you in person.
