Hi...I am dark grey till Friday. Internet and cable have been off for about a week. I have a MS due Wednesday, and will be back om track. I HAVE gotten emails and plan on heading to a friends horse with wifi tomorrow.
Otherwise I am ok..broke as fuck, of only
my 4 damn checks would hit
I willbe answering emails tomorrow, when I can do it on a full sized laptop, not my phone.

Asking for ~ma for my mom this afternoon. She'll be at the doctor for analysis of a mass they spotted in her lung. Since she's already had cancer twice, let's cross our fingers that it is a benign tumor of some sort.
Sorry to say it likely IS lung cancer. It appears to be in both lungs. The doctor said it has not grown at all in the last three months and she is otherwise healthy, so he suggests doing nothing and keeping a close eye on it for the next few months. He feels chemo is not indicated because she is 83 and has had chemo before, and he told her cancer grows slowly in the elderly. The point is for her to be active and "peppy" (his words) and enjoy life for as long as possible. I suspect that the cancer has progressed enough that due to her age it really ISN'T treatable, and this is his way of framing that truth.
I don't need hugs, but I am in a bit of shock right now.
This board has some very, very awesome people. Thank you.
New Mom update. Her GP thinks the pulmonologist may be wrong and it's NOT cancer. Mom is going to get a biopsy to see if it is the extremely rare type of infection which her doctor thinks it is. I'll go home for that and stay until we have an answer.
I have a new piece up today celebrating the work of my all-time favorite comic artist, Joe Kubert.
Please check it out and give it a "Like" if you're so inclined.
Can I get some promotion-ma for my DH this week? I don't want to jinx it, but...his mad computer-fu skillz need to be recognized and his bosses need to say he's Da Man. It looks likely. (I can't say more, silly NDAs.)
Psst.... if y'all are so inclined, could you "like" my employer's fb page? As you probably know, if we get to a certain number of likes we can do different kinds of posts. Or something. IDK, I just put up Visqueen and break glass. [link]
back home and yes, it is lung cancer. Mom is having a PET scan this week to see what stage she is at. I am so glad I could be here for her during all this.
