Some health-ma requested for our dog, Betsy. It doesn't look all that serious, but she is eleven, and my mother is all worried. She's a great companion, though, and things are not the same when she's not well.

LA-istas I haven't yet seen: Sorry guys, I'm having to bail. I completely lost my voice last night and woke up feeling crummy, so I'm headed home today.

But I'll be back, I swears! Kristin's promised me a more thorough tour of her charming, gorgeous Pasadena and I need to see more of you and you know, I actually love LA a lot. Not as much as Seattle, mind, but a lot. So a definite sad face for not being able to see more of you, but a happy face because it gives me an excuse to come back.

Thanks for the pup-ma...while her occasional coughing fits are disturbing, it really does seem that Betsy is on the mend.

Hullo, my darlings. A treasured friend has just written her first novel, which she's classifying as Dark Fantasy with elements of Horror (yes, there be vampires; no, they don't sparkle). I know we have a number of gifted and published authors in our midst, as well as folks in publishing, and was hoping for a few recommendation for first time authors exploring publishing possibilities. Hey, all, I am doing some freelance work, and my first job is putting together a Greek trip informational packet, with also a side trip to Turkey.

I seem to remember that a Buffista was stationed in Greece (Raq, maybe?
