ND's gall bladder surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning, 7:30am board time. It should be totally easy-peasy, but good thoughts are always welcome. If all goes well, he will be home (though groggy) tomorrow afternoon.

(And Barb, we'd love to see you if you could come up here Thursday night, but I doubt ND will be up to going anywhere.)

The Boy's mom is in the hospital. (Quick backstory: she has COPD [chronic obstructive pulmonary disease] and is, on a good day, kind of frail. She's in her 70s and doing the best she can, but has been gradually declining.)

She's got an infection in her lungs, which is obviously the worst damn place that could be, and she's having a LOT of trouble breathing. The respiratory specialist is working with her right now, and they'll probably keep her at least overnight, and probably longer.

There's supposed to be a huge family shindig in 2 1/2 weeks to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, and I'd really REALLY like to see that happen.

She's a wee, tiny woman, but she could use a boatload of health~ma. Thanks.

So I'm really proud. My younger sister is now a member of a house team at The People's Improv Theater. You may know of other members like Kristen Schaal and Ellie Kemper.

So yeah. Pretty proud. Also, if you're in NY and want to go, her team performs tomorrow at 9 or 9:30, I think.

For those not in Bitches, ND's surgery went well, and he is home now. He's sore but on the road to recovery.

Please, any quick sale ~ma lying around...could you send it my way?

I posted a Spinner cycle on Craigslist about a half hour ago and really, really need it to be a quick, successful transaction.

Can I ask for a little more recovery~ma for my friend. Her surgery wound up being more extensive than anticipated. Instead of losing 6 inches of her colon, she lost 24 inches! Still, no colostomy, go figure. But, she has been nauseated since before the surgery and still can't keep anything down. So, some calm~stomach and general healing~ma would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Hey all, I've been missing for the past couple of weeks due to my mom being hospitalized for pancreatitis (and then pneumonia she developed in the hospital). She's home now and slowly but surely recovering, but this is the first time I've had spare moments to check in with the board. Any spare health~ma you can direct her way would be greatly appreciated, though she does seem to be out of the woods now.

We are headed to the ER because Drew is in a lot of pain. Let it be nothing serious-ma requested.
