I'd like to request some good wishes for my mother, who's dealing with packing up her late husband's house (he died in October), and for my grandmother, who at this point isn't recognizing any of her children and is in the hospital, yelling for her mother to help her. And for her children, who just keep going in every day to sit with her and be yelled at.

It's been a hell of a winter break.

I've gotta ask for continued ~ma for my Mom. She's still stuck in the hospital (since X-mas Eve). The heart attack affected her kidney functions (already vulnerable because of 30+ years with diabetes), they were able to get them improved with drugs, but she had an angiogram on Thursday and her kidneys have rebelled again because of the contrast dye they use. The drugs aren't working to bring the function back this time so she's gonna have some dialysis starting tomorrow. She's freaking out and I have to go back to work so I can't be with her. Health~ and calm~ma will be much appreciated.

I know I've lurked like...I don't know, something lurky...lately, but I really appreciate the support, you guys.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

People on Twitter and Facebook already know, but I had my 2nd trimester sonogram today and found out I'm having another boy! I'm mentally preparing to be outnumbered 3 to 1...

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Drew and I are officially married! And, just to let you know how awesome our officiant was, he started the ceremony saying how lucky we were to have a community like Buffistas and ended it by announcing us as the PixDesigns. We are ecstatic and both cried like babies during the vows we wrote for each other. Much love to all of you.

The real pictures taken by a professional won't be out for some time, but here are some snapshots from the wedding: [link]

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hivemind, help! My (not-so-little) sis needs to take out a loan in addition to her Stafford loans, so she can move out of our parents' house (in lieu of committing patricide). She has very good credit but no income and will not have a co-signer. Currently banking with Bank of America but totally willing to switch. Has a credit card with a credit union in another state.

Please send tips, warnings, advice, etc. to my profile addy.

Thanks!

“Not dead yet!”

We're in Seattle and ensconced in a hotel until our belongings catch up with us sometime mid-week. I've been adding photos to our Seattle set on Flickr: [link]

Exhausted, but exhilarated!

After more than two weeks, missing both Christmas and New Year's, Mom got to come home today, on her birthday. It was quite an ordeal, took hours longer than it should have, but still, we made it, yay! Thanks for the ~ma, y'all!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My best man, Alex, had kidney transplant surgery today.

The donor was his girlfriend/mother of their child.

If you can spare a good thought for them and wish them some quick healing, and a successful transplant I'd appreciate it.

They could use some -ma.
