DH and I have decided to be green and thrifty this year, so we are sending out holiday e-cards instead of dead tree versions.

I, despite being the ardent ecofreak that I am, shall continue to kill trees and embiggen my carbon footprint by sending snail mail holiday cards. At least they all have recycled content, I think. Please to be sending your address to me via my profile addy if you would like one. My cards are appropriate for all faiths or none at all.
eta that you don't have to send me one to get one. And that also I have good intentions but I make no guarantees that said card will arrive by 12/25.
I release the health~ma into the ~ma pool. My brother in law is now home from the hospital, with a prescription for blood thinners to keep clots from forming in his brain and, we hope, to keep him seizure-free. Thanks for all the good wishes!
H and I are officially west coasties. Maybe one day we'll find house under all the boxes.
I feel funny posting here, since I'm pretty much only in small threads nowadays, but I need some ~ma.
My cousin was killed in a house fire night before last, and now, instead of going to his funeral, I'm in the process of heading to upstate NY for my niece's wedding. I really, really want to be both places. I would really appreciate any ~ma that I can keep it together this week, as the family has decided not to tell the bride until after the wedding.
I release the health~ma back into the world. I am fine. I have to go back in a couple of months to make sure, but I'm in the clear for now.
I have an Actual interview with an Actual hiring manager for a coop/intern job next Tuesday (special to Tom Warin & Nora -- EBSCO!)... which is actually the first time I've actually talked to somebody with the power to decide to hire me for an appropriate job in like, forever. -Ma will be heavily appreciated....
Our old house is on the market (after a hideous delay) and has been for a month and a half now. We're priced as low as we can go, and so far, nothing much.
As I'm living in terror of becoming a landlord (our other option), I'm asking for a little, "someone PLEASE buy our house!" ma from y'all.
I'm scheduled for hernia surgery tomorrow morning. I don't anticipate any complications, but I'd appreciate any warm thoughts for an uneventful surgery and a quick recovery.
Also, anyone figure out how to teach a 4 yo boy not to climb on you? That'd be useful to know too.
