"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

A sprinkling of that patented Buffista Job-ma would be deeply appreciated for Wee Sister Jay, if you've got any going spare? She's a recent graduate and she's applying for her first ever proper grown up type job - she's succeeded in the first interview and they've invited her back for a second. (It's for a company that arranges things for people who are moving from one country to the next, and it would be based in Madrid.)

Not having has never been the thing I've regretted most in my life. Not trying is.

Impress-a-client-ma requested for about 11 a.m. Texas time tomorrow.

I have a phone interview for my business. Just in time, because my contract job just gave me notice that they no longer need my services as of Feb 28.

Ta for any buffista-ma you can spare.

move out and draw fire

Job-ma and trip-ma, if you would? I've been working on lining up a job for when we return to DC this summer, and my number one choice seems to be coming through - they are going to fly me back to DC for interviews in a couple weeks.

So, I guess "Don't be so jet-lagged you hose the interviews"-ma is what I'm looking for here.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

For no apparent reason, I have taken on the Herculean task of training to run the San Francisco Marathon despite never having run before, all to benefit the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. I figure if my good health can end up helping those not in good health, why not do it? I will be documenting my experience in my LiveJournal.

The fundraising requirement is $1,800, but I'm betting I can beat that with your help. If you would like to sponsor me, please check out my donor page. Every little bit helps, to be honest. Even if you can only afford to give five bucks, I'd love to see your name in my donor list. Thanks!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Lassie-come-home-ma, please. The furnace repair guys let the dog out of the yard today -- the shelter's already closed for the night so we can't go look for him there; we've been combing the neighborhood ever since we got home, with no sign of his majesty's shaggy ol' butt.

Thanks everyone for the ~ma -- doggie was picked up in the course of his adventures on the mean streets and is now hanging out with his new best friends at the shelter. I am shaking my tiny fist at the animal control folk who won't release him to the hub because we don't have the same last name.

Our wings are not tired

I'm in the final cut for the job at UCI and as such I interview next week. This means about a day and a half of meeting people and various other activities. There are two big things I need to worry about, first I have to teach a class (I'm not as worried about that), second I have an hour long portfolio presentation. Now, I've got a nice body of work, but the last time I had a real portfolio was...well...years ago. So I guess in the next week I need to get this all put together. As such, some ~ma would be appreciated.
