If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hey y'all. I'm back from a fabulous weekend in Montreal. Pictures from the medieval halloween ball are here.

I was hoping for lots of pretty boys in tights, of which there were few, but there was fire-breathing, sword-fighting, various devils and angels duking it out...so we were happy. We were also the only anglophones in the place, which was an old chalet at the very top of Mt-Royal, overlooking the city. Fun!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, my grandmother didn't tell me the entire story. My grandpa has a bacterial infection in his colon as a result of all the antibiotics they gave him to fight off the pneumonia and sepsis. So, his belly got all distended and they have him on IV fluids to rehydrate him as well as a tube in his belly to drain the bacteria as well as more antibiotics to kill the infection that too many antibiotics gave him. I want to scream and kick and yell and just freak out.

Dear Buffistas, Thuy and I will be getting married -- according to the auspicious time for a Monkey (her) to marry a Dragon (me) in the Year Of the Horse -- at around 9 AM on Thursday the 12th of December.

Due to the unusual time, there'll be a reception/party/barbecue the following Saturday, and everyone's invited.

Cards, presents, wads of cash and stray Buffistas to:

3/351 Edgecliff Rd
Edgecliff

there is something to be said for the lyric and imperial attitude / believe that everything is for you until you discover that you are for it

I have a ticket to Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera tonight. Due to the fuckwit managing the project I'm working on, I'm stuck in Boston. The production is supposed to be wonderful. If any NYC Buffista is interested in going, email me at profile address. Opera starts at 8PM.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Grandpa update-He has a C Dif infection. Doing better, hungry and bickering at my gram, so he's back on the mend. He's having a bowel ultrasound this morning to make sure there aren't any perforations or clots.

Average everyday sane/psycho supergoddess

Hi! Really quick message here to let you all know I'm not dead or anything! I've had a GREAT time being off, but I am working at my new job RIGHT NOW -- it's my second day, and I have access, just not as much as I used to. I'm a court advocate in a women's shelter and so far it's great. Money's not wonderful but -- get this -- I get to make up my own schedule. As long as I hit 40 hours a week, and am here for some meeting, it's anything goes. Woo and hoo. On the downside, I now have to share an office, so no porn.

I'll try to check in later. Miss you all!

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Just realized that it's my two year anniversary of moving to LA, today. I believe all important life changing things should happen on Halloween.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

I will be dark starting this afternoon, through Monday, as I'm going to a convention.
