oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

spoke with and got email from DH. His mom is heavily sedated and get disorientated easily. They are still waiting for signs that the small intestine is working properly, but they have seen ( heard ) some improvement. Please send extra strength to DH. His famliy dynamics are messy and he needs to be the grown up.

edit: I am really glad for this thread .. it lets me say things and then go back to the fun parts of life.

DH is heading home tomorrow. Everything seems to be working in his mom - she got to eat Jello today. She got much more lucid , but I guess the pain is high. Anyway the first worry stage is over.

Edit: I will be dark or grey this week. Sister arrived to day and mom comes in monday. I should be pretty busy.

A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

Hey .... I'm going to be in NYC Sunday night. Are any NYistas up for watching Angel with me? I've missed the last two eps so there might have to be some hissing commentary during commercials to bring me up to speed ...

I have an early meeting the next morning but would love to see some folks. You KNOW who you are!

My MIL is doing much better ... she is lucid ( the drugs were too strong for her) and DH arranged for a sitter to be with her when the family can't. She will be loosing about 10- 15 % of her body weigh and end up being a very thin woman, but everything seems to be working. She has a lot of dietary strictures to deal with and a long road to recovery, but in the end things she work out well.

i've only been dark to days ... I miss you all!

Job I interviewed for last week called asking if they can check my references, much to my utter surprise. I ended up pulling my name from consideration since it is a lateral move and I need to move up rather than sideways. AIeeeeee!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Grandpa in the hospital again. Very dehydrated and exhausted from the toll on his body due to the massive steroids the oncologist has him on. I hate cancer. The treatment makes you more sick than before you knew you had cancer. If I ever find out that my conspiracy theory aunt is correct and the government is holding back the cure, I'm killing someone.

I am also starting to get a little, I don't know...fatalistic? Like, the instant my grandma told me I thought, "Glad I got to see him last weekend."

OK, I'm 3000 messages behind in Natter, and really don't want to skip too far ahead, but if anyone can help me out...I just got a bunch of pictures from San Francisco developed, and would love to put them up somewhere y'all could see them, but other than lots of random PeoplesForum posts with each picture attached, and links to those, I don't know how/have anywhere (previous attempts at Yahoo Pictures have not worked for anyone but myself to see them!)...

So, um, email me? mearagirl@yahoo.com
