A fellow makes himself conspicuous when he throws soft-boiled eggs at the electric fan.

Hey .... I'm going to be in NYC Sunday night. Are any NYistas up for watching Angel with me? I've missed the last two eps so there might have to be some hissing commentary during commercials to bring me up to speed ...

I have an early meeting the next morning but would love to see some folks. You KNOW who you are!

I will be in Philadelphia next week starting Sunday (sorry, ernaceous), for a computer geek conference. I would love to meet up with area Buffistas, especially for the Nov 5 Buffy.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

My MIL is doing much better ... she is lucid ( the drugs were too strong for her) and DH arranged for a sitter to be with her when the family can't. She will be loosing about 10- 15 % of her body weigh and end up being a very thin woman, but everything seems to be working. She has a lot of dietary strictures to deal with and a long road to recovery, but in the end things she work out well.

i've only been dark to days ... I miss you all!

Job I interviewed for last week called asking if they can check my references, much to my utter surprise. I ended up pulling my name from consideration since it is a lateral move and I need to move up rather than sideways. AIeeeeee!

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Grandpa in the hospital again. Very dehydrated and exhausted from the toll on his body due to the massive steroids the oncologist has him on. I hate cancer. The treatment makes you more sick than before you knew you had cancer. If I ever find out that my conspiracy theory aunt is correct and the government is holding back the cure, I'm killing someone.

I am also starting to get a little, I don't know...fatalistic? Like, the instant my grandma told me I thought, "Glad I got to see him last weekend."

OK, I'm 3000 messages behind in Natter, and really don't want to skip too far ahead, but if anyone can help me out...I just got a bunch of pictures from San Francisco developed, and would love to put them up somewhere y'all could see them, but other than lots of random PeoplesForum posts with each picture attached, and links to those, I don't know how/have anywhere (previous attempts at Yahoo Pictures have not worked for anyone but myself to see them!)...

So, um, email me? mearagirl@yahoo.com

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hey y'all. I'm back from a fabulous weekend in Montreal. Pictures from the medieval halloween ball are here.

I was hoping for lots of pretty boys in tights, of which there were few, but there was fire-breathing, sword-fighting, various devils and angels duking it out...so we were happy. We were also the only anglophones in the place, which was an old chalet at the very top of Mt-Royal, overlooking the city. Fun!

Oooh. t envying brenda's weekend

But I have pictures too! Thanks to sa (and to the several other buffistas who offered!), who's put them up here:

It includes David and me in our "Bardot A Go Go" outfits, some pictures from the RennFaire with Jacqueline, and a picture of me in drag...

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Well, my grandmother didn't tell me the entire story. My grandpa has a bacterial infection in his colon as a result of all the antibiotics they gave him to fight off the pneumonia and sepsis. So, his belly got all distended and they have him on IV fluids to rehydrate him as well as a tube in his belly to drain the bacteria as well as more antibiotics to kill the infection that too many antibiotics gave him. I want to scream and kick and yell and just freak out.

Due to the unusual time, there'll be a reception/party/barbecue the following Saturday, and everyone's invited.

Cards, presents, wads of cash and stray Buffistas to:
