Table 230 of [link] says you're right. It goes from 1988-1994 and has 12.3% of males 20-29 under 5'6", just 2.1% over 6'3".

I am 5'6", and that makes me taller than 11.7% of men my age, but 74% of the women. Tall enough, I guess.

With rounding, apparently 100.0% of women are less than 6 feet tall. I hope that doesn't cause anyone here to suddenly poof out of existence. When the statistician comes for you, slouch.
