Natter, from several days ago, but very accurate for right now:
Betsy: They missed an opportunity to double up on the Passover angst by having you have to get all the *non-leavened* stuff out of the house at its end. You could have a kid searching for the last bit of matzoh and ritually throwing it out of the house while the whole family yelled "Bleah!"
Wolfram: Don't forget the obligatory matzoh burning festival the next day.
Burn baby burn.
Cindy: My dh was reading over my shoulder and asked me to add that the Catholics never would have missed that one.
Betsy: The Catholics would have added alcohol. "Get so drunk you can no longer tell matzoh from challah."
Wolfram: Well most alcohol is chometz. But we do have four cups of wine, and by the third I'm starting to taste crumbs. YFCOWMV.
Missy, Torrance, Isis: watch your back!! Check out our hella cool cheerleaders!
Fay:
Go Team Minister! So much more satisfying a Ministry than that of Silly Walks.
t waves pompoms of carnage.
Connie: Which leave interesting blood spatter patterns as they're shaken.
Amych: Surely I'm not the only one who thought, "This is the next hot faux finishing technique! Quick, pitch it to Trading Spaces!"
erikaj, in Bitches (Fay was using "to fancy someone"):
I also like the word fancy better than this. "I like him, but not like that." "I like her like her. As more than a friend." I don't know why more USAians don't use it. But we use "fancy" ketchup sometimes... but I've never got That Special Feeling off it.
Pinwiz:
I just heard on the news that we got the 8 of Spades in the Iraqi card deck.
When did war turn into Pokemon?
Madrigal, in Angel (whitefonted to err on side of whitefont caution):
Just to get rid of Kennedy, I'd like Angel to drop naked from the ceiling of the Summers' house just as Willow and Kennedy are being annoying couply together. At the sight of him, Willow stands up and announces, "Straight now!"
But note that it's spoilery for current-season Buffy, not Angel.
Daniel C. Jensen in Quotable Buffy thread:
Death is her art because all the good art classes were filled.
Allyson:
Oh, once I managed to get the twist tie out of my hair, I tossed it. Like, she really
mushed it into my hair. Why? Why would she mush a twist tie into my hair?
