Natter 8:

BHP: GAH! you made me Google! And look what else I found! [link]

ita: Betsy, I can't believe I clicked on that link. Well, more accurately, I can't believe I clicked on it pruriently.

JessPMoon: Me too. I'm not entirely sure what I was expecting to find.

BHP: I certainly like opera gloves (and I always liked Playboy's little icon who wears only opera gloves and stockings), but I don't like opera gloves, if you know what I mean.

Wolfram: You mean you don't wear them in your bunk.

BHP: Well, I've never bought an opera glove a drink, or fluttered my eyelashes at it.

Wolfram: That's because you've never met the right glove.

Penny B, discussing arctic weather:

Homer

I wish we had at least had cold days in elementary school. Even at -40 they'd kicked us out for recess. "Keep moving! You'll stay warmer that way!"

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

DX's other name is Ed, IIRC.

Erika is correct.

Always Anti-fascist!

I said that way because I sort of think of you as your screen names, even if I know at Lizard's house there's not a sign that says "The Lizards" or something like that.

I knew what you meant. And I do refer to my house as Casa Machina, but yeah, the mail is addressed otherwise. t /natter

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Wrod - I think of myself as Fay. In fact I go further, and actually found myself thinking of Alice Lizard in terms of Austin Powersish MiniMe as a smaller version of RL formed from her RL-ness, purely on the basis of posting from the same terminal and having the same suffix to her username (rather than for reasons of actual genetics).

But apparently she's a whole different person. Like Dawn being made out of Buffy but still having very definite Dawnocity rather than Buffiness.

Er.

Or a sibling being, er, a sibling, in fact.

...did I mention that I'm blonde? Is this a good time to play the blonde card? Along with the "Freaky-ass Thought Processes" card, in an attempt to get out of jail free?

t /Natter.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Regarding the Jan 24th episode of Farscape, where a giant space spider was ravaging the crew:

Cashmere:

she's sucked out their best character features!

Steph L:

::snerk:: Chiana's best trait is her sex drive?

Cashmere:

well, yeah.

And John's is apparently his over abundant sense of optimism. And all this time I thought it was his ass.

Matt the Bruins fan:

It's like she's the personification of badfic writers everywhere!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

(RL, my tag is my sister's contribution to that list of LotR personal ads I linked to in TTT a while back.)

Victor, spoilery in Buffy:

I REALLY think people are way too worked up over an otherwise small detail. Besides, what's the FE going to do with a gun? Gesticulate at it?

FE: (Pointing at gun) "See! See! scary evil gun! I did that! Me! I am the First evil, and I am responsible for all things mean and nasty! I dare you all to not pick up the gun and shoot each other. Double-dog dare you! It's evil! EVIL I SAY!!!! (beat) C'mon. Someone? Please? Shoot somebody? Incorporeal here! Can't pick things up myself! Hello! Anyone! LISTEN TO ME GOD DAMN IT!!! Fastlane? I invented that show! I AM THE DAMN FIRST EVIL AND I'M ORDERING YOU TO PICK UP THAT GUN AND SHOOT SOMEONE!!!!! Hello? Anyone?(beat) I need a hug."

EDITED to fix typos.
