those little baby banana things
Plantains, right? Fried with sugar? Haven't had them for years.

There are tons of Chinese and Mexican places around here. It's amazing they can all stay in business.
Indian Resteraunts sell Curry. Ditto Pakistani. Ditto most Thai. Ditto Jamiacan. Any of those in your area?
There's a restaraunt, don't know how to describe it, but their menu changes everyday, and for awhile it was heavily Carribean influenced so plantains were on the menu quite a bit. And then they changed chefs and the influence changed to a more Asian influence. I haven't been there in a while so I'm not sure what it's like now. But they had some awesome desserts. Dad loves to go there because they always have slightly unusual things, like mango cheesecake.
The only Jamican place closed up shop years and years ago. They advetised curried goat in their window. I know where an Indian place is and I know there's at least one Thai restaraunt. I'll check out the restaraunt guide in today's paper.

No, these are some other banana variation (though plantains would also be good in it.) Very small, finger sized, and sweet.
Hmm.
They're sold here as baby bananas, which they aren't. I think I may cook tonight.
Chinese might have curry too.
Plaintains (ours, anyway) are about the same size as bananas.
I would happily give a recommendation for Thai green curry. Not the mildest curry out there, but not the hottest either, and the flavour is just sensational.
The Thai curries do some miraculous things with the sweet and the coconut milk -- amazing.

Now I'm peckish. Note to self: seek out Thai green curry in San Diego.
