He's certainly bonkers, but that piece is a bit odd, too, what with calling him an "undisputed genius" who is "at the height of his cultural influence."
I mean, yes, they let him direct The Spirit... and it bombed. He did give us the Goddamn Batman, but that's still a level of influence well below Twilight Sparkle's.

Glad to share. I pasted in my letter to the editor, as well as other "WHY??? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU GUYS???" verbiage.
Huh, it informed me I didn't qualify for the survey at the end. I guess they're metaphorically covering their ears and going "la la la" when respondents aren't buying any DC Comics.
I get that the pool they're looking for is about the 52 comics purchasers and how they feel about it. From the perspective of someone who's bought, I felt I got a lot of room to be specific about the titles I bought and those I intended to continue with, or not. There are a bunch of questions you couldn't have answered.
