Okay, whew. They never actually terminated my contract, so I'm totally being paid. A lot. Whee for overtime, even though it's making me sick. I'm coughing a lot today.
And they're in talks to draft my job description, which again does sound like I'm getting a permanent position. I hope it's a good offer. And my job description does not include such things as "Feed the sharks every Tuesday."
My friend worked in the music industry so came into contact with people on her List.
I was wondering about that. It must be tricky to live in places like LA and maintain a List, unless you eliminate the arts altogether and restock with actuaries and astronomers and the like.
The way I figure, unless I'm also on their list, meeting the people on mine is not so much an issue. (And if I am on Ben Browder's list...well...we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.)
how can I get rid of gnarly toe calluses?
I think the pedicure thing is probably a safe bet, but I made a recent discovery, in case you want to try to deal with things yourself. I had been using a clipper, pretty unsuccessfully, then I finally figured out that I could
cut around the edge with the clipper, and gradually come in sideways from underneath.
I was afraid
of cutting into live skin, but that never happened and just like that the callous was gone.
Woo-hoo!
It's very hot here. Probably over 80 outside. But, alas, I am freezing. It's just amazing to me that we have air conditioning in a building like this, but I guess it's necessary. Still, it's sometimes a pain to pack all your clothing just to come to work.
Much punctuation all around. Especially Gud and all the night leg cramp sufferers. The latter seem to be multiplying out of all proportion, which is an especially bad thing because I joined their ranks last night. Bah!
This would be a transfer for the fall?
Actually I would start at the end of this month on a sort of probationary admittance if everything goes alright with the application. Then if I do well with the class and all of my info checks out, I should be all set to continue on for a BA in Psychology.
Mom just left. She helped me clean this place up. Then, we unpacked more boxes. I found 4 more journals to donate to the women's shelter. I swear they are multiplying in the boxes. Then we went to lunch, did some shopping. Mom bought me a cute pair of black sneakers with hot pink details. Then, we went grocery shopping. Between school stuff and stuff around the house it seems I have officially entered the quickly scrambling to get my life together before my birthday that always happens at this time of year. Tired now. I think I'll just play on the computer for a little while before I have to start dinner.
I joined their ranks last night
I'm sayin'. Leg cramps, THE hott new summer misery. Get yours now before it's too late! You don't want to be all leg-crampy in September and have the rest of us be all @@ and whispering "Trendfucker!" behind your back.
Or, in other words, {{{libkitty's leg}}}.
I'm sayin'. Leg cramps, THE hott new summer misery. Get yours now before it's too late!
Someone can have mine! I've never been the trendy sort.
I never thought I was trendy either. Who knew!
Well, apparently JZ knew. Still, if one must have leg cramps, at least I can now laugh at the same time. They do say that laughter is the best medicine!
I forgot to mention that the orb is out today and there is nothing wet falling from the sky! It went right from way too cold to too hot, which is just about normal for New England.
I was having leg cramps before they were cool. Here's what I do about them. Find a pair of nylons, wrap around cramping foot, use long piece still left to pull on and help your leg to stretch.
