Thanks. I think things will get better when we are both moved in and, hopefully, things settle down a bit. Right now we aren't spending as much time together as we would like to because we each have to pack up our own places.

-t is me; I was about to say something similar. Not that knowing it is a "growing experience" makes it suck any less, but it I do believe that these types of situations are a little bit better when you know you at least don't have to go through them alone. (And now I have my grandfather yelling, "It builds CHARACTER!" in my mind's ear.)

I hope that you and TCG will be able to sit down together soon to figure out what your options are, and which one(s) you're going to persue. It's tough to have that conversation over the phone.
If they do show this apt to potential sellers, I think you or TCG should be there to say, "In our humble opinion, the woman from whom you're contemplating buying this place from is a mealy-mouthed weasel."
